Diagnosed Today...

Cancer affects all of us, but it is still a topic that people avoid and are not willing to discuss openly. We don't know much about cancer, even though the data is easily accessible from many sources, and many of the people who do search for the information find that it is not easy to understand.

In this infograph I have shown some statistics relating to Lung Cancer in a way where people can easily comprehend the extent of new cases that there are each day, on average, in the UK. I want the public to engage with the information, reflect on it and begin to discuss it without simply dismissing cancer as depressing or thinking that it wont affect them, because one way or another it will.

This is a set of six-month exposures. They were made using pinhole cameras and black and white photographic paper.

The first two are the most recent from the roof of my flat in London

The rest are from various locations along the river Clyde in Glasgow (Thanks to Jo Foo, David Henderson and GSC)
